Maritime Robotics is an internationally leading supplier of Autonomous Navigation Systems and Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USV). We have customers in many different markets, such as seismic, marine engineering, aquaculture, defense and the energy sector. Maritime Robotics is looking for a Unmanned surface vehicle (USV) Pilot for our Service and Aftermarket department to strengthen our team. 

In the role of USV Pilot, you will be operating USVs for testing, demonstrations, customer assignments and other activities. You will be one of the company’s specialists in maritime operations and contribute to developing our solutions and software as well as our procedures and qualifications for such operations. This includes HSE and Quality performance related to USV operations. You will also be responsible for the USVs owned by Maritime Robotics. The work is done both at the customer's premises and via remote connection from our operating room. The role requires that you enjoy traveling both domestically and abroad. Extensive traveling could be required in periods. 
We are looking for a new colleague with experience in navigation of vessels, preferably internationally, and who believes that technology can contribute to safer and more efficient operations at sea. 

Qualifications: 
  • Previous possession of higher deck office classes (D3-D1) is an advantage. Valid certificate is not a requirement. 
  • Minimum 5-year experience as navigation officer, preferably experience from operations internationally 
  • Experience from several vessel types and operations 
  • Experience from DP operations (DP certificate is not a requirement) 
  • ROC/GOC certificate
  • Security training 
  • Valid health certificate
  • Good knowledge of security systems and experience with the use of risk analysis and deviation reporting 
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken
