Om stillingen
Join us in shaping the future of autonomous ocean drones at one of Norway's most exciting tech companies, Maritime Robotics in Trondheim.
World-Class Autonomous Ocean Drones
As Maritime Robotics scales its global fleet of Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and continues to develop its Autonomous Navigation System (ANS), we are looking for a structured and technically strong Technical Product Owner.
In this role, you will be at the intersection of advanced software development, cybernetics, and operational use. You will act as the bridge translating strategic roadmap goals into concrete technical deliveries, working closely with some of the country's leading experts in autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
As our Technical Product Owner, you will have overall ownership of the product backlog for our autonomous navigation systems and associated control software.
Your key responsibilities:
- Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure continuous value delivery.
- Define and detail user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with system architects and developers.
- Ensure agile flow and methodology within the development team through sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Act as the bridge between internal stakeholders (sales, projects, management), clients, and the technical team to translate operational needs into functional roadmaps.
- Contribute to quality assurance of deliveries before they are deployed to our operational fleet of ocean drones in the field.
Who we are looking for
What you bring
- Higher technical education (Bachelor or Master) within cybernetics, robotics, software development, or related fields (relevant experience can compensate).
- Documented experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or Scrum Master in a software or high-tech company.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile) and backlog tools like Jira.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), as it is the primary working language.
Nice to have
- Technical understanding of complex systems, preferably with experience in sensor integration, autonomous systems, IoT, or control systems.
- Background in maritime technology is a strong plus.
- Norwegian language skills are beneficial but not required.
