Application Engineer (EMEA)

Alva Industries is a leading manufacturer of high-end electric motors for a wide range of demanding applications. Developed and manufactured in Norway, our torque motor kits are characterized by uncompromising performance density, minimal mass, and zero cogging.

With our proprietary FiberPrinting™ technology, we produce slotless motors with exceptional efficiency, integrability, and scalability. Our technology is gaining strong traction across industries, and we are now scaling our commercial efforts across Europe.

Your role

You will play a key role in supporting customers and enabling successful adoption of Alva’s motor technology across applications.

This means:

• Supporting sales in technical customer dialogue and solution positioning
• Guiding customers in selecting and integrating the right motor solutions
• Performing calculations, sizing, and technical evaluations
• Supporting testing, validation, and system integration
• Acting as the link between customers, sales, and engineering
• Contributing to technical proposals and quotations

In addition, you will help strengthen how we communicate our technology externally:

Translating complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling content. Developing application notes, technical articles, and customer-facing material. Supporting marketing and sales with high-quality technical communication.

You will be central in turning technical capability into real customer value.

Experience requirements

• Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar)
• Experience from application engineering or technical roles in relevant industries
• Experience with motion systems (e.g. motors, drives, robotics, automation)
• Strong technical understanding and ability to work closely with customers
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to travel (approx. 30–50%)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with system integration, testing, or validation
• Experience with technical content creation (e.g. white papers, application notes)
• Familiarity with CRM and/or PLM systems
• Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, C, LabVIEW)
• Experience from industries such as robotics, medical devices, precision equipment or defense
• Additional European language skills
