Alva Industries is a leading manufacturer of high-end electric motors for a wide range of demanding applications. Developed and manufactured in Norway, our torque motor kits are characterized by uncompromising performance density, minimal mass, and zero cogging.
With our proprietary FiberPrinting™ technology, we produce slotless motors with exceptional efficiency, integrability, and scalability. Our technology is gaining strong traction globally, and we are now expanding our commercial presence in the United States.
Your role
You will take ownership of early-stage sales in the US by building a strong pipeline across selected industries.
This means:
- Proactively reaching out to engineering and R&D environments
- Opening doors and positioning Alva early in product development cycles, as well as in existing applications where current solutions can be improved or replaced
- Driving opportunities from first contact through prototype, pre-series, and larger orders
- Working closely with Application Engineers to convert opportunities into pre-series and volume production
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on territory building, market penetration, and pipeline development.
Experience requirements
- Engineering or technical degree (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience in proactive sales / business development (hunter mindset)
- Experience selling technical products into engineering or product development environments
- Background in motion technology (e.g. servo motors, direct drive motors, drives, robotics, automation)
- Minimum ~3 years of relevant sales experience
- Willingness to travel (50%+ across the US)
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident) due to ITAR requirements
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with design-in / prototyping sales processes
- Understanding of actuation systems (motors, drives, integration)
- Experience from industries such as defense, medical devices, robotics, precision equipment, or industrial automation
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)

Location
We are targeting candidates located in central US regions such as Midwest, South, or Mountain West (e.g. Texas, Colorado, Ohio, Minnesota, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri).
Compensation
- Base salary: $95,000 – $125,000 USD
- Equity participation (stock options)
